On more than one occasion, I have sat down and complained about my inability to keep posting, my lack of focus, my frustration with not letting my creative juices flow and keep writing. And, once again, it has been three months since I've written. Ugh.
A couple of weeks ago, I was ranting to a friend about the insanity of getting a family of 6 out the door and into church on a Sunday morning, and she said, "Ok, seriously, you need to write a blog. You've got to share some of this stuff!!" When I told her I actually did have a blog, her look of "you've got to be kidding me why don't you write in it" was awesome. Then, I had coffee with a different friend yesterday who said, "I've told you this before, you have the best gift of expression - you need to be writing!!"
Ok, ladies, point taken. So, here I am, rolling my eyes and giggling a little bit, but I'm going to do it. February starts in just two days - I commit to publishing a blog post every single day during the month of February. This is going to be no small feat considering what lies ahead of me this month. But, I am determined. "They" say it takes 25 days to reinforce a habit, I figure 3 extra days will help a little ;)
I think there is a huge psychological factor with February, too. It is the shortest month of the year, if you can accomplish something in the shortest month, it gives you hope for trying for a month that might be a bit longer. If you can't accomplish the goal - well, there was no SERIOUS time commitment, it was JUST February, right?
Um ... y'all realize that February has only 2 or 3 less days than all the other months, right?
Let's see how many fluffy bunnies I can find this month, shall we?
